The Friends of the Kincardine Hospital are expecting big things following this Wednesday’s South Bruce-Grey Health Board meeting.
Sub-Committee Chair Barb Fisher says the Friends have decided they will be attending the meeting, and they’ve secured time to make a presentation.
They want to focus on an independent consultant’s report commissioned by the Friends last December.
Fisher says they’ve been pushing to get a couple of meetings outside of the regular board meetings, to fully discuss resolutions recommended in the report.
She says after they make their presentation, they will be asking for two dates to be set, and expects the Board will have to grant them dates.
Fisher says she doesn’t understand why the Board won’t meet with them to discuss the report, but adds they should be able to sit down as “mature adults and professionals” to come up with resolutions.
Fisher says hte Friends will also be making presentations to two municipal councils, regardless of what happens with the board.
The South Bruce-Grey Health Board meeting is set for Wednesday, May 26th.
