A sure sign of summer — the Service Canada Office for Youth has opened its doors in Owen Sound.
Youth Services Officer Liam Mulroy says despite the economic climate the office is continuing to work hard to find employment for students in Grey Bruce.
Mulroy says the services are avaliable for any youth ages 15 through to 25 for help with resumes – cover letters – interviewing techniques and landing the job.
Mulroy says they cover all of Grey Bruce from Tobermory to Mount Forest and all points in between.
The office – at 1450 1st Ave West in Owen Sound – is also open for employers who are seeking student help.
Mulroy says another popular feature of the office is the “Odd Job Squad” where students put their name on a list to be available for home owners and small business owners to hire to help with odd jobs.
The office is holding an open house to kick off the season today at 1 PM and all students and employers are welcome to attend.
