The long holiday weekend is upon us.
I guess for some fortunate people, they got a running start yesterday.
Nevertheless, there’s a full slate of sports activities in our region and beyond to take in.
The Memorial Cup Final is Sunday at Brandon, Manitoba, with the Windsor Spitfires looking for their second straight title against the winner of tonight’s semifinal game
Lots of fastball.
In the Bluewater League tonight, the Brick Brothers Volkswagen Midget Selects are at Walkerton
Then Saturday & Sunday at Duncan McLellan Park, there’s ISC games between the Verge Senior Selects, the Volkswagen Junior Selects & Palermo.
Both the Under 19 Girls Field Lacrosse team and the Senior Ladies teams have games at the Kiwanis Soccer Complex.
The Under 19 Girls play twice on Saturday starting at 10 am tomorrow against Burlington while the Senior Ladies hit the field for games on Sunday.
Hanover Raceway has ” Hockeyville Night ” tomorrow for Harness Racing fans.
Meanwhile, both Sauble Speedway & Varney Motor Speedway throw the green flag on 2010 with cards tomorrow and Sunday with race time set for 7 pm both nights.
The Can Am Midgets are at Sauble while Varney has a variety of events including the King of the Hill on Sunday.
Otherwise, it’s pretty quiet in these parts, I’d say
