We are just heading into the summer months – but Wiarton is already gearing up for the 2011 Wiarton Willie Festival.
One of the organizers Matt Standen says they are looking for all enthusiastic volunteers to help carry on the excitement of this years festival.
Standen says the 2011 event will be the 55th year for the festival and they have big plans.
Standen says there are hopes to continue the growth from this past year.
Standen says volunteering not only helps the event but their community.
The first meeting where sub-committees will be selected happens Wednesday May 19th at 9:30 AM at the Ross Whicher Centre in Wiarton.
