Two teenagers are facing assault charges after separate incidents in Meaford and Chatsworth.
Grey County OPP say while the incidents over the weekend were far apart geographically, the common denominator in both cases was the aggressors were young females.
The first incident happened just before 7 PM Sunday outside an apartment complex on Victoria Street in Meaford.
OPP say two girls were in the parking area when one made verbal threats and shoved the other.
She was physically restrained by bystanders but broke free and punched the victim in the face.
The 16 year old has been charged with assault.
Then around 9:30 PM Sunday officers were called to a youth detention centre southwest of Chatsworth regarding a disturbance.
A 15 year old girl had made a threat toward a female staff member while holding an object that could be used as a weapon.
She was arrested and charged with assault.
