Hanovers Downtown Improvement Area is toying with the idea of a Farmers Market.
This idea is still in the planning stages with the hopes of having the market in place by next summer in 2011.
Mayor Kathi Maskell says there is much to be done.
The DIA is currently studying other communities with successful farmers markets.
They are also seeking out any available grant dollars.
Maskell believes a Farmers Market would be received warmly in Hanover.
She says it would be a great opportunity for local farmers to showcase their fruits and vegetables.
The Hanover Park has been suggested as the market location, catching the weekend cottage traffic.
Maskell agrees saying Hanover is always looking for new ways to welcome tourists to the region.
