Saugeen Shores is getting a little bit greener.
Volunteers will be at Southampton’s Jubilee Park at 10 AM today to plant 100 trees along the stream behind the baseball diamond.
And at 11AM, another hundred will be planted upstream from Lori’s Landing at the North Shore Park in Port Elgin.
It’s part of the Evergreens for Streams program, from the Bruce Resource Stewardship Network.
The Grey-Bruce Community Foundation and NWMO have provided a total of 700 free trees to be planted throughout Saugeen Shores.
Anyone wanting to help out can drop by and grab a shovel.
