Bruce Grey Owen Sound MPP Bill Murdoch is criticizing the Transportation Ministry for not including bicycle lanes on Highway 6 on the Bruce Peninsula.
After years of lobbying the province for funding — Murdoch says he was pleased to hear about the long-awaited facelift but disappointed to learn they will not be adding bike lanes as part of the reconstruction.
Murdoch says the Peninsula is a major eco-tourism destination thanks to the Bruce Trail and the National and Provincial Parks.
He thinks the move will result in lost tourism dollars.
