The St Mike’s Majors were awarded the 2011 Memorial Cup hosting rights yesterday.
Congratulations to the Majors organization.
Whether you agree or disagree with the selection, and I’ve told you previously I think Windsor deserved it more, I truly believe the Majors organization will do a terrific job.
Changing gears, closer to home, the Bluewater High School Soccer Playoffs begin today with 7 games; 4 in the Girls Division and 3 in the Boys division.
In the Girls Division, there are games today in Kincardine plus at Sacred Heart in Walkerton, St Mary’s in Owen Sound & at Peninsula Shores in Wiarton.
The 4 winners today in the Girls Division advance to the crossover games on Friday at Walkerton, Hanover and at both West Hill & OSCVI
Pretty similar story in the Boys Division.
Today, Saugeen District is at Walkerton, John Diefenbaker plays host to Chesley & the West Hill Raiders host Peninsula Shores.
The Crossover games in the Boys Division are Friday at Sacred Heart, Kincardine, St Mary’s & at Georgian Bay in Meaford.
