Three Southampton nurses have received funds from the Carolyn Frances Mack Nursing Education Fund.
Heather Hunter, Joan McCannel, and Patti Ferris were presented with the first three certificates from the fund last Friday.
The funding supports the continuing education of registered nurses.
It was created by the Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation to accept donations when Carolyn Mack passed away two years ago.
Mack was a Team Leader of the inpatient medical and surgical units, as well as Clinical Supervisor at the Southampton Hospital.
The fund has grown to 20 thousand dollars.
It will be awarded to nurses to receive training in the areas of Pallative, Cardiac Care, Clinical Technology Education, and Leadership Training.
