On the horizon this week is the 2010 Owen Sound Sports Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony.
The dinner and induction ceremony are set to go Friday night at the Harry Lumley-Bayshore Community Center and features 2 teams and 4 athletes.
The 2 time defending Canadian Senior Lacrosse Champion Owen Sound van Dolder Home Team Woodsmen will be inducted for their President Cup Championships from both 2008 & 2009.
The list of athletes being inducted for 2010 is far ranging taking in 4 performers who competed on ice, on the floor, on the court and at the track.
Allan Walker will be inducted for his ability and influence in the sport of harness racing.
Robert ” Bud ” Harron will be honored for his ability in hockey and his dedication to the sport when his playing days ended.
Randy ” Rooster ” McMillen was well known in Minor, Junior, Senior & Masters lacrosse.
And Kim Johnson, a dynamic scorer in basketball during her time at West Hill and the U of T, will also be inducted.
Tickets for the dinner & ceremony are $ 25 and you can pick yours up at City Hall.
