Mayor Mike Smith says people like coming to Saugeen Shores.
He says there’s a buzz coming through the town again, as numbers are up in the building department.
Smith says a number of the major infrastructure projects taking place right now are keeping people employed, and it’s allowing the local economy to rebound from the recession.
He says many local companies that were slow in business last year, are booming this year.
Smith contributes that to federal and provincial government grants for infrastructure, and increasing interest in new subdivisions.
He says people who visit are more likely to want to stay and live and work in Saugeen Shores.
