Free dental care if up for grabs in Hanover and Lucknow on Saturday.
The Hanover and Lucknow Dental Care is hosting their second annual Dentistry from the Heart.
Business Manager Lori Grundy says the event stems from a concept in Florida where a dentist wanted to help out his community so he offered free dental care to patients once day a year.
Tomorrow at the two offices you can choose from a teeth cleaning, filling or extraction — at absolutely no charge.
Grundy says in these economic times dental care sometimes is the last thing people budget for so this is an excellent way to make sure we get the care we need.
The way it works is there is a registration tent in front of each office that will open at 7 AM and the only thing the patients need to do is show up and register then get a number and wait for your turn.
Last year they saw 94 patients at the Hanover location.
Grundy says they will have four dentists in Hanover working and two in Lucknow plus a slew of hygienists.
All staff donate their time – most supplies are donated as well.
Grundy says it is an exhilarating day but also exhausting for the staff as the goal is to see 100 patients in Hanover – 50 in Lucknow.
Hanover office is on 18th Ave and the Lucknow office is in the medical clinic on Havaloc street.
