When you pick up a brochure at a local tourist spot maybe you should have a thought as to where it came from.
The Regional Tourism Marketing Partnership is presenting the brochure swap today at Harrison Park in Owen Sound.
Heather Molnar of Grey County Tourism says the event is where they invite all the tourism industries from the area into Harrison Park and they exchange brochures.
Molnar says this event not only saves money on postage so businesses don’t have to mail large packages of brochures to other tourist spots – but it is also the first tourism industry event of the summer allowing networking.
The event is for all those that have been invited from the Grey and Bruce County Tourism data base.
Molnar says this event is integral to the busy summer season as when people stop at one tourist attraction they can pick up a brochure for another event – adding to the chain of events.
Molnar adds the Grey Bruce area has found that the tourism industry has extended to all four seasons.
The swap starts at 10 AM and is a swap and go format so that those invited can exchange brochures and then leave and continue on with their day.
