Think outside the box and then act on it.
That will be the message of special guest speaker Neil Aitchison to the annual general meeting of the Saugeen Shores Chamber of Commerce.
Aitchison suggests that business people be a bit bold in marketing.
He says they should take themselves less seriously and their jobs more seriously.
He says many have it the other way around.
A native of Harriston — and practically a life-long cottager in Port Elgin — Aitchison says if merchants can maintain the summer-like attitude they have, all year round, it will just make this community a better place to live, shop and spend money.
Chamber General Manager Joanne Robbins says the meeting begins at 6 PM tonight at the Lakeshore Recreation club.
The meeting includes a dinner, an update on Chamber and Saugeen Shores happenings and the special speaker.
