Another successful McHappy Day around the region.
Steve Sgro owner of the McDonald’s restaurants in Port Elgin, Owen Sound and Meaford says they raised 4 thousand dollars at Wednesday’s event.
Sgro says 50 percent of the money raised goes to Ronald McDonald House in London and Hamilton while the other 50 per cent stays locally at Camp Presqu’ile.
He says the camp wants to build new cabins this year and the McHappy Day money will go a long way towards that goal.
A dollar from the sale of McMuffins, Big Macs and Happy Meals yesterday went to the children’s charities.
