Its called a ‘walk so kids can talk’.
Its the third annual “Bell Walk for Kids Help Phone” in Owen Sound on Sunday.
The Kids Help Phone is staffed by professional counsellors 24 hours a day who’ve been providing help to young people across the country for more than 20 years.
In 2008 alone the phone line connected with about 10 thousand young people from Grey Bruce and Huron Counties dealing with everything from bullying to suicide.
Last year the walk raised more than 3 million dollars in Canada.
The Owen Sound event is being held at Harrison Park Sunday morning at 10 AM.
A minimum 50 dollar pledge is suggested to take part — with Bayshore Broadcasting drawing two names for free West Jet ‘vouchers’ to anywhere the airline flies.
