The Bruce Grey Catholic School Board is hosting a special Applause Breakfast Awards ceremony on Monday morning.
The award ceremony – at the Klages Mill in Chesley – celebrates the unsung heroes of the school yard.
Two students from each Bruce Grey Catholic school will be recognized for their character.
Director of Education Bruce MacPherson says all too often its academics or athletic abilities that earn students this type of recognition.
He says this ceremony focuses strictly on character and virtues.
MacPherson says the breakfast is also the board’s way of saying “thank you” to the students for serving as positive role models for their fellow classmates.
The breakfast is being attended by the student recipients, their parents, school administrators and trustees.
