There’s something for everyone at the Port Elgin Rotary Club’s 28th annual Home and Rec Show.
Event chair Bob Lunney says they have over 60 vendors throughout the Plex with items and services for the home and the cottage.
Lunney says this year there are 12 new vendors who have never been at the show, so there will be plenty of variety at this year’s event.
And there’s a new fun event at the show.
The Saugeen Golf Club is setting up a digital driving range.
Manager Jeff Myatt says one can buy five balls to take the best drive they can and perhaps win a prize.
Myatt says you can enter as often as you like for a dollar.
A Nike driver is the main prize but there are smaller prizes throughout the weekend as well.
The show is a major fundraiser for the Port Elgin Rotary Club.
President Marcel Legault says they hope to raise 20 thousand dollars this year from selling booths to the vendors to their traditional raffle draw where a 42-inch TV or a generator are up for grabs.
Legault says the money will go towards funding local Rotarian projects, along with Rotary International projects as well.
Rotary locally has provided funds for the new accessible playground and the Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation.
The Home and Rec show started Friday, and continues today and Sunday from 10 AM to 4 PM.
Admission is free.
