The Hanover and District Hospital is ten thousand dollars richer thanks to a generous donation from the Hanovers RBC Royal Bank.
The donation will fund training programs and educational opportunities that will allow nurses to provide leading edge healthcare to the Hanover community.
Todays donation is part of a larger 60 thousand dollar commitment to programs that support the professional development of nurses in Grey, Bruce, Wellington and Dufferin Counties.
Branch Manager Kimberly Tone says its RBCs way of thanking nurses for all their hard work and dedication to keeping our communities healthy.
Foundation Director Sue Patterson is incredible grateful saying this is the second 10 thousand dollar donation RBC has made into nurse training programs in the last two years.
She says this investment will greatly benefit patients.
In a rural hospital like Hanover she says nurses need to be flexible because they have to work in different departments.
By providing nurses with cross training opportunities as well as a nurse mentorship program she says nurses will be able to better serve patients and the hospital as a whole.
