The Owen Sound Billy Bishop Home and Museum has received some funding.
Bruce Grey Owen Sound MP Larry Miller announced a 21 thousand dollar grant for the historic home on Friday.
Miller says the money from the New Horizon’s program will fund renovations and the roof replacement at the home.
He says it’s important to preserve heritage buildings in the community.
Miller adds the work will allow seniors to continue with the Honouring Our Local Veterans program — which offers workshops, lectures and a knitting group.
Miller also announced 61 hundred dollars for Owen Sound Heritage Days from Canadian Heritage.
Miller calls it an important community event.
