Saugeen Shores Councillor Dianne Huber is back from representing the area at this year’s Ontario Parks and Recreation Educational Forum.
The Forum features educational workshops that provide information on the latest research and issues in today’s park and rec field.
Huber says her favourite workshop was risk management, which focuses on risks involved when people use public playgrounds or sports fields.
She says what she learned from the forum is that, council needs to include a sense of what makes a community livable in every decision they make.
Huber says she looks forward to working with the Community Services and Recreation department on opportunities for activities in the area.
