Mixed views from Bayshore Broadcasting News listeners to controversial changes to the sex education curriculum and the Premiers reversal about implementing it in the fall.
A majority of callers think the Premier made the right move by shelved a proposal to update the provinces sex education curriculum after defending it for two days.
Premier Dalton McGuinty says the program will be reworked and parents consulted.
Some callers were critical of starting sex education in grade one and felt that grade six probably was a more appropriate time to begin talking to the young people about sex.
Other callers felt it was the parents responsibility to talk about sex with their kids and do it as soon as possible.
One caller says its important for parents to provide moral direction to their kids, and the place for them to get the correct facts about sex is in the classroom.
