You can learn more about heritage properties today.
The City of Owen Sound is hosting two workshops so people can learn more about a heritage designation and how properties receive them.
Members of the Ontario Heritage Trust will speak at the workshops scheduled fro 2 PM and 6:30 PM today at the Farmers Market.
The afternoon workshop will focus on places of worship and will include examples of how older buildings have been successfully restored.
The evening workshop will look at the importance of heritage conservation.
Both workshops will feature an overview of Owen Sound’s Heritage Programs.
The city each year looks to identify, document, interpret, conserve and protect the community’s built heritage resources.
