Once again, real estate sales are booming in Grey Bruce.
Figures from the Grey Bruce Real Estate board show the value of properties sold in March was over 41 million dollars compared with only 27 million a year ago.
That is up about 48 percent in the year-over-year comparison.
President Karen Cox says the average price of a home in the area is up about 7.9 per cent in the last year — to 207 thousand dollars.
Cox says there is a lot influencing the market right now, including continued low interest rates and the recovery of the stock market making buyers feel more confident.
In the first three months of 2010, sales were worth over 106 million dollars or nearly double the level in the first quarter of 2009.
Karen Cox says the number of listing is also way up from a year ago, giving buyers more selection.
