The lineup and date for this summer’s “Music in the Fields” festival in Lucknow has been announced.
The one day music festival will take place in the Lucknow soccer fields on September 4th.
Canadian country music singer Paul Brandt will headline event which will also feature country artists Jo Dee Messina and Emerson Drive.
Festival Co-chair Ken Irwin says organizers have been working for almost a year, to improve last year’s concert.
Country Music Television’s Casey Clarke will host the 2nd annual event.
Film crews for CMT’s Cross Canada Countdown will be at the fest, shooting footage for their weekly tv show.
Organizers expect to sell over six thousand tickets this year.
Co-chair Rick McMurray says the festival will give a boost to the area’s economy.
He says Lucknow has an opportunity to put its best foot forward as visitors spend money in the region’s restaurants and shops.
All profits will go to the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and to various charitable organizations in Lucknow.
