If you want to do a little star gazing tonight, Elmwood is the place to be.
If you’re at the Elmwood Community Centre this evening you may very well bump into Marilyn Monroe, James Dean or even John Wayne.
Its all part of the Hanover and District Hospital Foundations Hooray for Hollywood fundraising gala.
Foundation Director Sue Paterson hopes to raise 50 thousand dollars from tonights event.
She says the evening includes a catered dinner, entertainment by John Morello and his 7 piece Dean Martin tribute band and a live and silent auction.
There are 120 items up for auction. Patterson says there is everything from a Via Rail trip to Ottawa to a cottage rental at Sauble River.
There are also complimentary passes for museums, restaurants and attractions in Toronto, Niagara Falls and Ottawa.
Patterson says many in attendance will be dressed in theme for the 1940s Hollywood era.
She calls it a fun way to raise money for the Hospital.
All proceeds will go into future hospital equipment purchases.
