Simcoe Grey MP Helena Guergis is denying she broke conflict-of-interest rules while she was in cabinet.
Guergis says she did nothing wrong by suggesting then Simcoe County Warden Tony Guergis take a look at a waste disposal company in the area.
There are allegations her husband was involved with the company.
But in an email Friday — Guergis says she checked to make sure her husband, Rahim Jaffer, had no ties to the company.
Guergis says she acting on behalf of a constituent who owns a company that offered a green solution to waste disposal during the time Simcoe County was dealing with opposition to Site 41.
