A boil water advisory is in effect for the users of the Shallow Lake water system.
Veolia Water Canada issued the advisory on Tuesday after a mechanical failure.
Officials say water service was interrupted between 2:30 PM and 5 PM Tuesday when a power supply line was damaged during plant upgrades.
While water was restored on Tuesday – the boil water advisory will continue until lab results come back that show samples clear of bacteria.
Veolia says there should be no problems because there was no contamination but simply a mechanical failure – however they have to wait for the results.
The advisory will remain in effect until further notice but could end tomorrow or Saturday.
