Some help with child seats from Owen Sound Police.
Officers will be setting up what they’re calling a ‘child seat RIDE check’ this morning with help from Grey County OPP and the Health Unit.
They’ll be stopping vehicles on 16th Avenue East near the entrance to OSCVI asking drivers to pull into the school’s parking lot.
Trained volunteers will then inspect the child seat to ensure they’re installed correctly.
Community Services Officer Chris Hartley says its obviously not so much an enforcement RIDE looking for impaired drivers but rather an opportunity to education and assist parents.
The check will go from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM this morning.
