The dirt-digging continues around Simcoe Grey MP Helena Guergis.
Today, a report she let her husband use her government car and driver for his personal use.
The Globe and Mail quotes a former chauffeur of Guergis as saying he frequently took Rahim Jaffer to and from Parliament Hill, restaurants and various other places.
This reportedly happened after the 2008 election, when Jaffer lost his seat in Edmonton.
The Toronto Sun, meantime has dug up Guergis’ expenses, totalling more than 273-thousand between May of 2006 and mid-February 2010.
In 2008, as Canada was heading into a recession, Guergis spent $113,429 with trips to destinations that included Beijing, Georgia, Ukraine, Poland, Belize, Guatemala, Peru, Columbia, El Salvador, New Delhi, Miami, Jamaica, Barbados and Mexico City.
Last week Prime Minister Harper ousted Guergis from the cabinet and caucus and asked the RCMP and ethics commissioner to investigate unspecified allegations against her.
But the Tories have been tight-lipped on the specifics of the allegations.
