The Prime Minister may have dumped her from cabinet and caucus, but Simcoe Grey’s Conservatives are standing by Helena Guergis.
The Past President of the local riding association, Andy Beaudoin, tells Bayshore Broadcasting News, “why not?” when asked whether she will be the candidate for the Conservatives in Simcoe Grey in a future election.
Beaudoin calls much of the recent revelations about Guergis, “nonsense” and says many of what’s been said has simply been made up.
Beaudoin says the local riding associaiton board needs to take some time to digest what’s happened, but says a process was gone through a year ago, and Guergis remains the candidate for Simcoe Grey at this point.
