Some residents on the west side of Owen Sound, north of 10th Street West, will be experiencing some low water pressure today.
The cities Environmental Superintendent Chris Hughes says it’s because of a broken watermain at 10th Street and 4th Avenue West.
The watermain burst because of the extra demand for water to fight the fire on 11th Street A West.
Hughes says in addition to low pressure, some people also may experience some dirt in the water — so they should not drink it.
He hopes to have the water main repaired by the end of the day.
Hughes says once the pressure is back to normal, people should flush their water system until it runs clean once again.
10th Street West at 4th Avenue has been reduced from four lanes to two so crews can repair the watermain.
