Tourism is big business and a Hanover Councillor would like to see it become even bigger in this area.
Councillor Bob White believes tourism needs to take a more regional approach.
He feels it would be in the best interest of municipalities if they joined forces to promote the region.
He says each municipality has its own special niche and if they work together they will be able to accomplish much more in the area of tourism promotion.
White feels the County should take the lead and serve as a guide for the lower tier municipalities.
He predicts tourism will soon follow the course of economic development.
Rather than each municipality working on its own, its now a shared venture through the Grey Bruce Regional Economic Development Corporation.
White adds that with so many tourist attractions in this region a shared marketing venture would be a wise investment.
