The 4th annual Maple Syrup Festival is taking place this weekend to help raise funds for the Mission Zimbabwe Project.
The festival is happening Saturday from 9 AM to 2 PM at the Cedar Rail Camp just outside of Chesley.
Project team leader Barry Mutrie says admission is only 10 dollars per person — 6 dollars for children ages 5-12 and children under 5 are free.
Mutrie says admission is the only cost involved and you get a lot of bang for your buck.
He says you get a pancake breakfast, sleigh ride, petting zoo, Easter egg hunt, face painting and more.
Mutrie says it is a great day full of family fun – and its for a great cause too.
All funds raised at the festival will be donated to the Mission of Hope for work in the Village of Hope in Zimbabwe.
Mutrie says a mission team will be going to Zimbabwe this July for the 4th year in a row.
They will help build a secondary school and 4 homes for children orphaned by AIDS.
The Mission is sponsored by the Hanover Pentecostal Church.
