A tragic death in Hanover.
A 40 year old man was crushed to death by a van.
Hanover Police say the man was working on the van at his home on 12th Avenue around 6 PM Tuesday when the jack gave way.
The fire department was called to lift the van off the body — and the unidentified man was pronounced dead as he arrived at the Hanover hospital.
An autopsy was done yesterday in Owen Sound — but the results are not being released.
The Ontario coroner’s office has now taken over the case.
