Another sign of a rebounding Canadian economy: Honda is adding a shift at its assembly plant in Alliston.
The new shift, to start early in 2011, will provide 400 more jobs for workers.
The plant in Alliston produces the Honda Civic sedan, Acura MDX sport utility vehicle and Acura ZDX crossover.
Last week, General Motors announced that car sales had rebounded enough to bring back 600 workers for a third shift at its assembly plant in Oshawa.
GM also said it was bringing back all laid-off workers at the CAMI plant in Ingersoll.
