Chatsworth is getting ready for a couple of major projects this season.
The Williamsford Arena will be coming down once the curling season is over in March.
The tender has been awarded to Sullivan Salvage to tear down the 60 year old building that was deemed unsafe for snowload.
Mayor Howard Greig says the construction of the new facility will go to tender May 1st thanks to half a million dollars in government infrastructure money.
Meanwhile work is moving forward on the Gamble Bridge.
That tender has also been awarded in the amount of 710 thousand dollars.
Greig says they managed to get it down from 830 thousand in order to meet government funding requirements.
He says work on that should get underway “in the next month or two”.
