South Bruce OPP are advising seniors about an unusually aggressive sales rep who is goes door-to-door in the Kincardine-area and targets seniors.
The salesperson is so high-pressure that police have received at least two complaints about him.
Constable Kevin Martin tells us the man sells water filtration equipment for a company called Del-Pro systems.
Police say the man showed up at a senior’s residence in Kincardine this past Wednesday — the resident then called police.
A week earlier police say an elderly woman was subjected to an unusually high-pressure pitch which resulted in a sale worth almost 400 dollars.
Martin says such tactics are covered under the Trespass to Property Act section of Criminal Code — which can result in a fine of 65 dollars and court costs.
He says if you can’t get rid of a person you don’t want in your home, OPP will be happy to do it for you.
Police say the man is around 50, 6 feet tall with a thin build — he’s balding and has brown and grey hair.
