Police are making the appeal for information on the anniversary of 66 year old Ronald Hallam’s disappearance.
A year ago, Hallam left his home on Prosperity Line near Saratoga Swamp in Ashfield Colborne Wawanosh and has not been seen since.
Huron OPP Constable JoAnna Van Mierlo says the investigation has quickly become a cold case.
Van Mierlo says police have exhausted all leads and tips.
Van Mierlo says information has been difficult to come by and investigators hope to jog the public’s memory on any information they have that might help.
Van Mierlo says there has never been much to go on even in the early days of the investigation.
She says whatever tips OPP did get quickly led to dead-ends and there’s no confirmed information about where Hallam might have gone or why.
Van Mierlo says police are issuing an appeal for any information on Ronald Hallam’s disappearance.
Van Mierlo encourages people to come forward and that police will follow up even if you think your information may not help.
She says OPP would rather rule out any leads rather than to not have anything to go on at all.
Ronald Hallam is described as 5 foot 8, 200 pounds, balding with grey hair.
He was last seen wearing a red and black lumberjack style jacket, a black ball cap, light coloured work pants, a dark grey t-shirt and work boots.
Police believe he was on foot when he left the house.
