Hanover Councilors are rolling up their sleeves and crunching the numbers as they attempt to bring in a modest budget.
Hanovers first budget meeting takes place Monday March 22nd.
Mayor Kathi Maskell says they are aiming to bring in a budget increase of less than two per cent.
She says staff and department heads have been very working very hard towards this goal.
Maskell admits it wont be easy, calling it a delicate balancing act.
Even so, she’s confident that the goal will be reached.
She believes Hanover residents will be quite satisfied with the budget once it is complete.
She calls a modest tax increase quite a acceptable noting that many other municipalities unfortunately are facing much higher increases.
