Saugeen Shores has a new business in town that’s just opened.
Hoof’n It Your Local Butcher is located at the corner of Goderich Street and Tomlinson Drive in the former Wild Wing location.
Owner Brian Henderson says the time is right for an on-site local butcher to serve the region.
Henderson says he will be featuring as many products as he can from local producers in Bruce and Grey counties.
Being a former employee on the Bruce Power site, he knows there are a lot of single workers there that would like to buy a nice cut of meat without having to buy a whole roast.
Henderson says they will feature chicken, pork, lamb and of course beef.
He also hopes to bring in a few other products as well as he gets established.
Henderson says they will employ a full time butcher and front customer server.
In addition 5 or six part timers will be employed along with some summer students.
Hoof’n it will open Tuesday through Sunday, 10 AM to 7 PM.
The new business opened on Tuesday.
