A woman has died while snowboarding at the Beaver Valley Ski Club.
Grey County OPP were called to the ski hill in Grey Highlands around 11 AM Wednesday after receiving a report of a seriously injured snowboarder.
Witnesses say the woman was snowboarding on the hill when she left the slope and entered a wooded area where she hit a tree.
The 48 year old woman from Mississauga was taken to Markdale hospital where she died of her injuries.
Police say she was wearing a helmet at the time of the incident.
No name has been released yet as next of kin is notified.
A post mortem examination is scheduled for Thursday in Barrie to determine the exact cause of death.
