Speculation continues to grow about the future of a local MP in the federal cabinet.
CTV’s political commentator Robert Fife says there is a real movement among conservatives to dump Simcoe Grey’s Helena Guergis from cabinet after her temper tantrum at Charlottetown airport last month.
Fife says Guergis is not popular within cabinet, has trouble holding on to staff members and is generally thought not capable of holding down the post.
Fife also reports that Guergis has been telling people that she has grounds to sue Air Canada after the report of her tantrum was leaked, citing a lack of privacy.
Unnamed senior Conservatives have reportedly told Fife the suggestion of a lawsuit suggests to them that Guergis quote — “just doesnt get it.”
