Volunteer firefighters from five departments spent five hours trying to control a barn fire just east of Wingham that killed about five thousand pigs.
The blaze on Monday completely destroyed the structure which burned down to its concrete foundation.
An investigation into the cause is under way and no damage-estimate has been given.
