A 24 year old woman is recovering at home and Owen Sound Police have charged her boyfriend with a numerous violent offences.
Police say the woman was taken to hospital by a relative on the weekend to be treated for a swollen nose and right eye and a swollen left wrist.
Police were told the woman had her arm slammed in a cupboard and face head-butted on Saturday night and was also sexually assaulted two weeks earlier — but was too afraid to report it.
Police allege the man also threatened to crush her head in — and also used a knife to threaten her.
The young woman said everytime she tried to leave, her boyfriend would pull her back into the apartment.
No names have been released.
A 31 year old man has been charged with 11 offences — including sexual assault with a weapon, uttering death threats, assault, choking and forcible confinement.
