An independent consulting firm hired by the Friends of the Kincardine Hospital has done its job.
Friends spokesperson Barb Fisher says Schroeder & Schroeder Consultants out of Toronto was retained at a cost of ten thousand dollars.
The cost of the report was absorbed soley by the FOKH.
Fisher says the firm was hired to find ways to improve how the needs of the Kincardine Hospital and residents can be better represented through the governance structure of the South Bruce Grey Health Centre.
The finished report looks at among other things – the make up of the board, director representation, management structure and roles, accountability and community input.
While it is complete – findings won’t be released until a public meeting next Wednesday, March 24th.
Fisher says the public is invited to show up at the Davidson Centre in Kincardine at 7:30 PM to hear the report.
She would not comment on the report – and says information will be contained until that night.
