The 70th anniversary of CFOS continues.
A display on the history of CFOS opens today at Grey Roots Museum and archives in Owen Sound.
Petal Furness the Heritage Supervisor Interpreter Grey Roots Museum and Archives says the display came about after she spoke with Bayshore Broadcasting General Manager Ross Kentner and they both saw how interesting this exhibit could be.
Furness says since the station is such an important part of the community the display is not just about the station but about the history of Grey County as well.
Furness says it features a lot of historical pictures of the station, audio interviews from CFOS alumni as well as some memorabilia like old microphones.
There is also several binders with pictures taken though the years and they are asking the public to identify who they recognize in the pictures.
She says there will be a ribbon cutting with the public as well as a lot of Bayshore staff at 2:30 PM with a live broadcast starting at 12 Noon on CFOS.
There will be the Fred Parsons trio performing and in attendance will be Owen Sound Mayor Ruth Lovell Stanners and Grey County Warden Arlene Wright as well as MP Larry Miller and MPP Bill Murdoch.
The display runs right through until January 2011.
