Aging x-ray machines are no longer adorning rooms in two South Bruce Grey Health Centre hospital sites.
Officials say they’re replaced the machines in Chesley and Durham – as they were almost twenty years old.
Not only that, but replacement parts for the machines are obsolete.
The new units were just installed in Chesley this month and were put in Durham in January.
In a release, the Senior Diagnostic Imaging Technologist for the Chesley site, Janet Hatten says the space is more functional and accessible.
Hatten also says patients and staff are pleased with the upgrade.
Money for the units and renovations in the x-ray areas came from each site’s own hospital foundation.
