The brother of a man charged with killing Huron OPP Constable Vu Pham thinks allegations of marital infidelity may have sent Fred Preston over the edge.
Alex Preston says he spoke to his 70-year-old brother last Sunday, the day before Constable Pham was shot and killed near Winthrop.
Fred Preston is charged with first-degree murder in Pham’s death and the attempted murder of another police officer.
Alex Preston says his brother had been in denial about his wife Barbara’s infidelity until she recently admitted to having an affair.
Visitation for Constable Pham is being held at the McBurney Funeral Home in Wingham from 2 PM till 4 PM and again from 7 PM till 9 PM.
His funeral is expected to attract hundreds of police officers to the Wescast Centre in Wingham at 1 PM.
